Apocalyptic Scenes from South Korea

In South Korea, a fire has devastated 3,000 hectares of land, leaving 1,500 people homeless and emptying 15 villages. Residents are 'waiting' for their homes to catch fire as the disaster unfolds.

Currently, there are 27 active fire ignition spots. At least four people have died, and six others have been injured. The fires began in the Sancheong district, located 250 kilometers southeast of Seoul, on Friday. Due to strong winds, the blaze quickly spread to other areas.

The most affected region is the Yesan county, where more than 1,000 hectares of land have been burned. This area also houses the ancient temple of Unramsi from the Silla dynasty, which has been engulfed in flames. Fortunately, the monks were able to save the artifacts.
