Explosion in a High-Rise Building in Makhachkala: Injuries Reported

An explosion occurred in one of the high-rise buildings in Makhachkala. This was reported by the press service of the republic's Ministry of Health.

“According to preliminary data, two adults have been injured, one man and one woman. The woman is in serious condition,” the statement noted.

A fire broke out in an apartment of the multi-story building located on Gaptzakhskaya Street due to the gas explosion. Local media reports suggest that the explosion may have been caused by a gas leak.

Due to the collapse, dozens of vehicles have been damaged. Preliminary data indicates that the building was not yet occupied, which helped avoid a larger number of casualties. Following the gas explosion, 150 people were evacuated.
