Hundreds Arrested During Protests in Turkey

Approximately 350 people were arrested during protests in Turkey. This was reported by the country's Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya.

“Last night, 343 suspects were arrested in Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Adana, Antalya, Canakkale, Eskişehir, Konya, and Edirne during the demonstrations. Those who seek to disrupt public order threaten the stability and security of our country and are striving for unrest and provocations; they will never be given such an opportunity,” Yerlikaya said.

It is noteworthy that mass protests have been taking place in Turkey since March 19 following the arrest of Istanbul Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu.
