Minister of PSTA Speaks on Azerbaijani Defense Ministry Announcements

The fact that the public is concerned about the announcements regarding gunfire from the Azerbaijani side is something that also worries me and all of us. This was stated by the Minister of PSTA, Mkhihtar Hayrapetyan.

“Why? Because we expect to continue our dialogue in a constructive atmosphere and to achieve our ultimate goal of building long-term peace in this region. I believe there are sufficient grounds for this, as both sides have effectively announced that the work on the draft peace agreement is now complete. In this regard, I must say that Armenia will consistently advance this work and will do everything within its power to ensure that the situation remains stable.

There is a clear understanding within the international community that Armenia is positioned very constructively in this context. In response to the concerns that have been raised, I believe that statements are being made almost daily at both the level of the Prime Minister's staff and by the Prime Minister himself, aimed at genuinely clarifying how credible this information is.

The Armenian side is expressing its clear will and readiness, and the international community is evidently taking note of this. I believe that the public has no reason to be alarmed. Everything that can be done is being done at the level of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and relevant state institutions,” he noted.

It should be noted that the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry has been disseminating misinformation about alleged gunfire from Armenia for the sixth consecutive day.
