Do Those Living Abroad Have the Right to Demand We Endure and Suffer in This Blockade? Torosyan
What do you think – do Armenians who do not live in Armenia have a moral right to dictate to their brothers and sisters living in Armenia, who have endured economic and other hardships for decades due to the blockade by two neighboring countries and a military conflict with one of them, to cease considering and implementing the normalization of relations with those neighbors, regardless of how difficult it may be? This was stated by My Step Alliance MP Arsen Torosyan on his Facebook page.
“Do they, living in Los Angeles, Washington, New York, Paris, London, Moscow, or elsewhere, and not in Armavir, Kapan, Dilijan, Gyumri, or Vanadzor, have the right to demand that we endure and suffer in this blockade and conflict? For me, the answer has always been obvious, regardless of who holds power in Armenia. P.S. As much as we love all our compatriots living in other countries, we must nonetheless be honest with ourselves,” he wrote.
