This Will Be Remembered as a Genocide of the People: Zakharova
The forced mobilization in Ukraine will be remembered as a genocide of the people. This was stated by Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, according to TASS.
“The forced mobilization of Ukrainians will enter textbooks as genocide against the Ukrainian people. You will see videos on the internet where representatives of Ukrainian military recruitment offices, using force and often beating them, take men of conscription age towards minibuses,” said the diplomat.
Zakharova also added that Vladimir Putin thanked US President Donald Trump for participating in and supporting a peaceful resolution. “The Russian leader raised several fundamental issues regarding the status of Ukrainian soldiers that have invaded the Kursk region, the control of the ceasefire, the actions of Kyiv in that area, as well as the continuation of mobilization. This has actually energized the Ukrainian side further,” the statement said.
