Sale of Apartments Without Minimum Interior Finishing to Be Prohibited
The Armenian government has decided to prohibit developers from selling apartments without minimum interior finishing. This decision was made during the cabinet meeting held today.
Currently, there are no requirements in place, which means that apartment buyers are left to carry out renovation work themselves, creating certain inconveniences for other residents.
The government has tasked the Urban Development Committee with clearly defining the minimum standards for interior finishing—such as doors and windows, plastered walls, cement flooring, heating radiators, and more. These standards are expected to be adopted in the near future.
Additionally, it will be clarified whether these changes apply to buildings already under construction or only those that are still in the planning phase.
