Armenia's Defense Ministry Issues New Statement

The statement from Azerbaijan's Ministry of Defense, claiming that on March 19 between 19:00 and 19:10, Armenian Armed Forces units opened fire towards Azerbaijani positions located in the eastern section of the border zone, does not correspond with reality. This was reported by the Armenian Ministry of Defense.

Recall that the Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia proposed establishing a joint mechanism between Armenia and Azerbaijan to investigate incidents of ceasefire violations and/or related information, to which Azerbaijan has yet to respond.

The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia reaffirms its readiness to investigate the facts supporting the statement from Azerbaijan's Ministry of Defense, provided that these are transmitted to Armenia.

As of now, the Republic of Azerbaijan has not provided any factual data or justification to the Republic of Armenia regarding the alleged ceasefire violations by Armenian Armed Forces units.
