Israel Launches Ground Operations
In a move aimed at expanding the security buffer zone and establishing a partial barrier between the northern and southern parts of the Palestinian enclave, Israeli forces have commenced ground operations in the central and southern regions of the Gaza Strip. This information has been reported by RIA Novosti, referencing the press service of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).
“In the past 24 hours, IDF forces have initiated targeted ground operations in the central and southern sectors of the Gaza Strip to expand the security zone and create a partial barrier between the northern and southern parts of the enclave. During the operation, forces have further extended control to the central area of the ‘Nitzarim’ corridor,” the statement said.
As part of potential future military actions, it has been decided to station soldiers from the Golani Brigade in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.
