17-Year-Old Killed Over Staring at Young Woman

On March 18, the "Spitak" medical center reported to the operational management center of the Lori region that a 17-year-old male had been brought in with a diagnosis of "biological death, stab wound to the chest wall at the heart region." This information was provided by the National Police.

The detectives from the criminal police of the Lori regional department and the Community Police of Spitak established that between 14:00 and 15:00, brothers aged 20 and 22, along with their 20-year-old cousin, had a dispute with a 17-year-old local resident in the cemetery area of Spitak. During the argument, the 22-year-old stabbed the 17-year-old in the chest, resulting in his death.

As a result of immediate actions taken by various police units, the three young men were arrested at 15:35 on suspicion of committing a crime and were taken to the Spitak Community Police station. The knife used in the crime was found.

The Lori regional criminal police confirmed that the argument originated from the 17-year-old staring at the 20-year-old's girlfriend for an extended period. The necessary documents have been prepared, and the young men have been submitted to the investigative body.
