Putin Sets Conditions for Ceasefire

Vladimir Putin has demanded the cessation of all types of arms supplies to Ukraine during a 30-day ceasefire, according to Bloomberg. The publication notes that a prerequisite for signing the agreement for Russia could be that the U.S. halts arms supplies to the warring parties.

During negotiations with U.S. Special Envoy to the Middle East, Steve Wittecoff, the Russian president presented his demand for Ukraine to agree to limit its military capabilities. Russia's demands have raised serious concerns in Europe about the possibility that Moscow could use the ceasefire and the halt of supplies for rearmament.
