Black Money Generated in Previous Years Directed Towards Various Powers, Avinyan

The mayor of Yerevan, Tigran Avinyan, stated that the slogan "Say it, we will do it" is not just a promise, but a clear working program.

“We had a city where the sidewalks were occupied, parks were divided among different individuals and companies, and people with various interests operated in different areas. Overall, we had a city under business logic. What have we been doing consistently? We have cleaned the parks, opened up courtyard areas, developed 124 courtyards, and created 7 parks last year, plus the Mergelyan Park. We have continuously freed the sidewalks from kiosks, and the list goes on,” he said.

According to Avinyan, the black money generated in previous years is being directed towards various powers. “Today it is said to us, ‘Do you know, you promised to solve the issue of the 4th category emergency housing and you haven’t. Oh, excuse me. Let me remind you how people were forcibly removed from their homes on Northern Avenue, thrown out, and now the Republic of Armenia is paying those people in cases passed in the ECHR. Don't you have anything to do with that?” he added.

The mayor also noted that the opposition has nothing to do with the work done at any cost. “You are related to coming here, slandering, and making speeches,” he stated.
