Armenia Proposes Written Solutions to Azerbaijan's Issues

In January 2025, the Republic of Armenia submitted a written proposal to Azerbaijan addressing certain issues. This was announced by the Office of the Prime Minister of Armenia.

The proposal includes the facilitation of railway cargo transportation from Azerbaijan's western regions through Armenian territory to the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, in the opposite direction, and to third countries. It also addresses railway cargo transportation from Armenia’s northwestern regions through Azerbaijani territory to the southern parts of Armenia, again in the opposite direction and to third countries.

Armenia has also suggested the establishment of a bilateral mechanism for mutual control of armaments and is awaiting a positive response from Azerbaijan.
