Trump and Putin's Negotiations Contribute to Decrease in Gas Prices
Gas prices in Europe are decreasing. This development has been aided by weather forecasts and the scheduled negotiations between U.S. President Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin, which have improved the supply balance in the region. This was reported by Bloomberg.
On Monday, base futures prices fell by 2.1 percent, fluctuating between 41 and 42 euros per megawatt hour. Efforts to cease hostilities in Ukraine have sparked speculation that pipeline supplies from Russia could return to the part of Europe that needs gas supply following the winter.
