We Must Focus on This: Aliyev

The President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, has announced the intention to establish friendly relations in the South Caucasus. It is vital to protect the region from any crisis surrounding us. Unfortunately, the South Caucasus has been a battleground of confrontation and enmity for decades. We are now in a relatively calm period. Therefore, we must focus on this.

Aliyev made this statement in an interview with Euronews. “Thus, we need to concentrate on this: to create comprehensive security mechanisms, eliminate any threat of new military confrontation, and try to establish friendly relations as we were accustomed to during the Soviet era,” added Aliyev.
