Mirzoyan Provides Details on Peace Agreement
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Ararat Mirzoyan, has referred to the conclusion of negotiations on the peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan as a "particularly important milestone." He stated, "The text has been agreed upon after lengthy negotiations. I consider this a crucial juncture in the normalization of relations and the establishment of peace in our region."
Mirzoyan noted that Armenia proposes to initiate consultations with Azerbaijan as soon as possible regarding the location, timing, and other details of the agreement. "There is no provision regarding a corridor in the agreed-upon text of the agreement, nor are there any mechanisms for unblocking mentioned in the text of the agreement," said Mirzoyan, highlighting that there is mutual readiness to cooperate, including on transport and transit issues.
