ANIF’s Moscow Branch Received $6.9 Million Over 5 Years
The Moscow branch of the Armenian National Interests Fund (commonly known as ANIF) has received allocations amounting to 2.7 billion dram from ANIF between 2020 and 2024. However, the current management of ANIF claims they have no information about any programs executed by this branch. They are only aware of a single program that remains unfinished. This was reported by Hetq.
At the current exchange rate, 2.7 billion dram is equivalent to $6.9 million. A question arises: why has this state-owned company channeled such substantial resources to its Moscow branch, which, as inferred from the information provided by ANIF’s current leadership, has been an unproductive entity?
Nonetheless, the former deputy director of ANIF and head of the Moscow representative office, Sergey Grigoryan, asserts that the information provided by the current management does not correspond with reality, as the branch was involved in various programs and has demonstrated results. He also mentions that ANIF has been dismantled due to “raider capture” by “unprofessional and incompetent” individuals.
