Zelensky Calls on the U.S.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has addressed discussions surrounding U.S. proposals for a ceasefire in Ukraine, accusing Russia of seeking to prolong the war. He has called on the U.S. to 'compel' Moscow to stop the conflict.

Zelensky particularly emphasized that 'the world has yet to hear a meaningful response from Russia to the proposed initiatives for over a day now.' He stated, 'This once again demonstrates that Russia wants to extend the war as long as possible and delay peace. We hope that U.S. pressure will be enough to make Russia cease hostilities.'
