Vay, vay, vay, if they think I am forcing healthcare workers, let them appeal to law enforcement. Avanesyan

Health Minister Anahit Avanesyan addressed reporters after a Q&A session with the government regarding concerns that she is pressuring healthcare workers to vote for the ruling party's candidate Sarik Minasian in the upcoming mayoral elections in Gyumri.

“Vay, vay, vay, those individuals who have such concerns, I first urge them to urgently express these fears to law enforcement and not attribute something to individuals that they are well-versed in themselves,” she stated.

Regarding her visit to Gyumri along with the ruling party team and participation in a fundraising event, the minister noted, “I went to Gyumri on Sunday, which is a non-working day. Yes, I participated in a fundraising event for the campaign. Excuse me, the minister and the government are political bodies and cannot be apolitical. However, such instructions or guidance are out of the question, because it is unnecessary.”

When asked why they believe they will elect Sarik, she replied, “I believe that the ruling party has made significant achievements over the years which should be presented to our voters. I am confident that by presenting this important task and also what will be done in the case of Sarik Minasian's victory, I think the citizens of Gyumri will cast their votes for the ruling party and for Sarik.”
