Ukraine Must Seek Assistance from the US on This Matter

Russian President Vladimir Putin has stated that Ukraine should appeal to the US for assistance in ceasing hostilities, taking into account the situation on the ground.

"Now, regarding Ukraine's readiness to halt military operations: You know, the US-Ukrainian meeting in Saudi Arabia may outwardly seem like a decision taken under American pressure by the Ukrainian side. In reality, I am quite convinced that the Ukrainian side must request this in the most persistent manner possible from the Americans, given the situation on the ground," Putin said, according to RIA Novosti.

On Tuesday, a meeting took place in Saudi Arabia between US and Ukrainian delegations. After the negotiations, Zelensky's office released a joint statement from Kyiv and Washington, indicating that Kyiv is ready to consider the US proposal for a 30-day ceasefire, which can be extended by mutual agreement of the parties. The document also notes that the US will immediately lift the pause on intelligence data exchanges and will resume military supplies to Ukraine.
