Fire in House Roof Results in Fatality

On March 13, at 13:12, the Crisis Management Center of the Rescue Service of the Ararat region received a call reporting that grass cover and the roof of a house were burning on Forest Street in the Charberd area of Yerevan.

Two firefighting teams from the Yerevan Rescue Service were dispatched to the scene. It was determined that the roof of the house and the grass cover in a nearby gorge on Forest Street were ablaze.

The fire was contained by 13:50 and extinguished by 14:18. The wooden elements of the roof (approximately 10 cubic meters), grass cover, reeds, and trees were burned. Rescuers discovered the charred body of a citizen in the grass cover adjacent to the house.
