The Fabricated Trial of Ruben Vardanyan Continues in Baku
Today, the military court in Baku continued the fabricated trial of Ruben Vardanyan, the former prime minister of the occupied Republic of Artsakh. Vardanyan has been on hunger strike for over 20 days in protest against the spurious trial.
The fabricated case against him has been separated from the proceedings concerning former military and political leaders of Artsakh. Azerbaijan accuses Vardanyan of "torture," "profit-driven activity," "violations of the laws of war," "terrorism," and "financing terrorism." The process of this fabricated trial began on January 17.
It is worth noting that representatives of the former military and political leadership of Artsakh and civilians have been similarly accused by the Baku court of "terrorism," "war crimes," "genocide," and other "offenses."
