Attack May Disrupt Peace Settlement Trends, Peskov
Dmitry Peskov, spokesperson for the President of Russia, addressed the massive drone attack on the Moscow region by Ukraine that occurred this morning. He noted that although the attack does not disrupt ongoing negotiations, it may affect the trends directed towards a peaceful settlement.
“Currently, no negotiations are taking place. According to their own admission, the Americans are trying to understand how prepared Ukraine is for peaceful negotiations. Since there are no negotiations yet, there is nothing to disrupt,” he stated.
At the same time, according to Peskov, the drone attacks could undermine the trends aimed at a peaceful resolution of the situation in Ukraine. When asked why the attack was carried out today, coinciding with a meeting between representatives of the U.S. and Ukraine in Saudi Arabia, Peskov replied, “Ask the Kyiv regime.”
