Zelensky Arrives in Saudi Arabia for New Negotiations
On March 10, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, according to a report by Reuters citing a Ukrainian official. The Ukrainian president is set to hold talks with Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, whose government is playing a mediating role in negotiations between Ukraine, the United States, and Russia, reports Novyny Ukrayiny.
On March 11, negotiations will take place in Jeddah between Ukraine and the United States. On March 8, President Zelensky announced the composition of the delegation heading to Saudi Arabia for talks with the U.S. Kyiv will be represented by the head of the presidential office Andriy Yermak, Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha, Defense Minister Rustem Umero, and Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Pavlo Palis.
According to sources, the American delegation is expected to include National Security Advisor Mike Waltz, Special Presidential Representative for Middle East Affairs Steven Vitkof, and U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio. CNN reported on March 10 that following negotiations with Ukraine, the American delegation would meet with representatives of the Russian Federation in Saudi Arabia.
