A Series of Documents Signed Between Armenia and India
Ararat Mirzoyan, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, and Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, the Minister of External Affairs of India, held a bilateral meeting in New Delhi, which was followed by an expanded delegation meeting led by the ministers. This was reported by the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
At the beginning of the meeting, Minister Mirzoyan stated:
“Dear colleagues, I am confident that you will agree that our relations, which have traditionally been based on centuries-old, one might say, civilizational ties, have significantly elevated to a new level in recent years. And this, primarily, is due to your personal efforts and contributions, Mr. Minister, which we greatly appreciate. Your visit to Armenia in 2021, and my rather frequent visits to India, as well as our cooperation on international platforms, testify to the very active political dialogue that exists between our two countries. And I am confident that we must maintain this dynamics of high-level visits between our two countries.
We wish to build stronger economic, trade, technological, and cultural ties with India so that our two peoples benefit from these relations in the coming decades and centuries.
Among other issues, we also emphasize the role of the periodic political consultations between the ministries of foreign affairs of our two countries, as well as the regular meetings of the Intergovernmental Commission.
Dear colleagues, I would like to inform you that during our exclusive discussion, Minister Jaishankar and I have already had the opportunity to discuss a number of crucial bilateral agenda items, as well as regional and global issues. And I am glad to continue our discussions in an expanded format.”
As a result of the meeting between Ara rat Mirzoyan and Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, the following documents were signed:
- A memorandum of understanding between the Diplomatic School of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia and the Sushma Swaraj Institute of Foreign Service of the Republic of India;
- A memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the field of drug regulation between the Expert Center for Medicines and Medical Technologies named after Academician E. Gabrielian of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia and the Central Organization for Drug Standards Control of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare of the Republic of India.
