Trump Discusses Relationship with Putin

U.S. President Donald Trump stated on Sunday that he takes a tough stance toward Russia but maintains a good relationship with President Vladimir Putin. “I have been very tough, but I get along well with Putin,” Trump said in an interview with Fox News while commenting on his position toward Russia.

Trump responded to criticism regarding his allegedly “soft” approach to Russia, highlighting that during his first term, he imposed numerous sanctions against the country among other measures. He noted that Putin could be the first to acknowledge his tough approach toward Russia.
