Starship Spacecraft Explodes in Mid-Air

The launch of Elon Musk's SpaceX Starship spacecraft, conducted with the Super Heavy booster rocket designed for crewed missions to the Moon, has ended in failure. This was reported by SpaceX, the company developing the spacecraft.

Approximately 10 minutes after liftoff, contact with the spacecraft was lost, interrupting data transmission. Due to an engine failure, the spacecraft began to lose altitude.

The Super Heavy booster successfully returned to the launch pad after separating from the spacecraft, where the Mechazilla system's manipulator arms caught it.

The launch took place on March 6 at 18:34 local time (02:34 on March 7 Yerevan time) from SpaceX's Starbase launch site located in southeastern Texas.

The previous launch on January 17 also ended in failure, as the rocket's second stage was unable to reach orbit. The Starship exploded after separating from the booster rocket.
