Ararat Mirzoyan Responds to Azerbaijani Statements

The Republic of Armenia has not undertaken any obligations, including those related to the unblocking of regional communications, that it has not fulfilled. This was stated by Armenia's Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan during a question-and-answer session with the government in the National Assembly.

He responded to a question from Lilith Minasyan, a member of the 'Civil Contract' faction, regarding the comments from Azerbaijan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs about Armenia's proposals for unblocking regional communications, which suggested that Armenia is not meeting its obligations and that Armenia's proposals have been deemed impractical.

“We are ready to open all infrastructures as soon as possible; however, the issue is not just about Azerbaijan. The unblocking is a broader concept. We are in discussions with Turkey regarding the Gyumri-Kars railway, and we also aim to establish connections through Azerbaijan's infrastructure with Central Asia and China,” Mirzoyan stated.
