We Need to Dig, We Need to Look at What We Have in Our Soil: Lukashenko

Alexander Lukashenko has raised the issue of the presence of rare soils in the country that may be rich in metals before the nation’s specialists. The President of Belarus emphasized the need for geological research to be conducted in the country.

“This is a very relevant topic. It is said that there are rare minerals in our soils, and we need to study the rest—chemistry, oil, gas, and so on. I have set the appropriate task before the relevant minister,” Lukashenko stated.

According to him, only Donald Trump speaks about this, and the country’s specialists do not pay sufficient attention to the matter. “Perhaps we have as much as the others,” he emphasized.

“That is why the Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection will have to endure with dignity together with you. That is the future. We need to dig, we need to look at what we have in our soil,” Lukashenko added.
