Initially Asked for Water, Then Threatened with a Gun and Stole Money: Details

The Ministry of Internal Affairs has reported that on February 22, at 04:19 AM, a citizen called the 911 service to report that two individuals threatened him with a gun on Saryan Street in Yerevan and stole $10,000 from him.

The caller stated that on February 21, around 10:30 PM, two unknown men knocked on his window, asking for water for their car. About five minutes later, they returned, knocked on the window again, and demanded money from him. He refused to give them money, claiming that he didn't have any cash on hand, as his money was in an electronic wallet and he would have to wait until morning.

However, one of them held an object resembling a gun out from his clothing and said that if he did not give them the money, they would kill him. After that, he took $10,000 from his bag and handed it over to them, after which they left the scene.

In connection with this incident, a criminal case has been initiated in the second investigative division of the Central and Norq Marash administrative districts under the second part of Article 252 of the Criminal Code.
