Woman Dies Following Surgery in Armenia: Details

A woman has died following a plastic surgery at the "Wigmore" medical center. This was reported to Auroranews by Kim Avaldian, the press secretary of the Investigative Committee.

A criminal proceeding has been initiated under the features of part 2 of Article 187 of the Criminal Code. A forensic examination of the body has been ordered. Necessary evidentiary and procedural actions are currently being taken.

According to reports, M.M. was admitted to Wigmore on February 18 with the expectation that she would be discharged in a more beautiful and perfect physical condition after the surgeries. It is important to note that the woman did not suffer from chronic illnesses and had no health-related issues or complaints.

M.M. underwent simultaneous surgeries for abdominal plastic surgery and another plastic surgical intervention at another location. Her condition sharply deteriorated on the second postoperative day, and she was transferred to the intensive care unit, where her condition worsened further and was assessed as extremely critical. Subsequently, on February 21, she was moved to the intensive care unit of the "Erebuni" medical center, where that evening, around 23:30, biological death was recorded for M.M., as reported by Anush Poghosyan, co-founder of the NGO "Health and Rights," highlighting that the woman had no health issues.
