How Much Money Will Europe Spend on Ukraine?
Europe plans to spend €150 billion on arms purchases for Ukraine. This was announced by Ursula von der Leyen. According to her, the European Commission proposes to create a new instrument that will allow EU countries to significantly accelerate and increase military assistance to Ukraine.
The EU will propose allocating a €150 billion loan for the production of air defense supplies and weapons for the Ukrainians. There is also a suggestion to increase the defense spending of European countries by 1.5% of their GDP, potentially allocating up to €800 billion for their own defense.
Thus, while Trump halts American security on the continent, Europe is entering a new era of rearmament.
