This Program Will Lead to Greater Destruction and Casualties: Rubio

Europe is suggesting to continue the conflict in Ukraine for another year, hoping to weaken Russia. This was stated by U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio in an interview with CNN.

“I asked people, what is the European plan for ending the war? I can tell you what a foreign minister told me. I’m not going to say who they were, but I can say that one of them told me that the war will continue for another year, until the point when Russia will be weakened enough to ask for peace,” he said.

Rubio emphasized that, in the opinion of the U.S., such a plan is unrealistic and could lead to greater destruction and casualties.

The U.S. Secretary of State also commented on the statement of the leader of European diplomacy, Kaia Kallas, who supported Zelensky after the scandal at the White House and insisted that “the free world needs a new leader, a role that should be taken on by Europeans.”

“These people are playing foolish games and making such statements. What plan do they have for ending the conflict? The only person who is realistically trying to end this conflict is the President of the United States, Donald Trump,” he remarked.
