Clash Between Fans and Police During Van-Alashkert Match

During the match between Van and Alashkert in the Armenian Premier League, fans once again stormed the stadium demanding the resignation of the Football Federation of Armenia (FFA) head, Armen Melikbekyan. This protest led to clashes with the police, resulting in a temporary suspension of the game.

According to Narek Sargsyan, spokesperson for the Ministry of Internal Affairs, five individuals have been summoned to the Charentsavan community police department for their involvement. It is noteworthy that yesterday’s match between Gandzasar and Ararat was also postponed due to a force majeure situation, as fans staged a protest demanding the resignation of the FFA leadership.
