Force Majeure Situation During the Gandsasar-Ararat Football Match

Mariam Z.

The Premier League match between Gandsasar and Ararat has been postponed due to a force majeure situation. Fans staged a protest demanding the resignation of the HFF leadership.

First Armenian Front and Red Eagles issued a statement: "Since the initiation of the demand for the resignation of the HFF leadership, we have substantiated and continue to substantiate all aspects of their complete failure in local football and are alerting the necessity for a change in the HFF elite as soon as possible. Alongside this, we have presented a program for the revitalization of football and the restoration of justice.

By clearly failing to implement their own strategy by 2025 and lacking a vision for development, the HFF leadership is attempting to cover current issues with unachievable promises, such as the criteria for selecting the national team coach. Starting today, all fan movements of the Armenian national team and Armenian clubs will resume protests demanding the resignation of the HFF president at the HPL, Armenia Cup, and other matches, up to the cancellation of games.

We will be waiting for a response from the HFF leadership or any bureaucrat regarding this matter and expect dialogue exclusively concerning their resignation. Meanwhile, we apologize to all clubs, players, and referees for the discomfort; none of the actions are directed at you. Primarily, we are dissatisfied with the current situation.

We also wish to address all stadiums, clubs, and HFF security personnel, urging them to remain within their authority, preventing any type of violence and provocative actions during our protests. Resignation is inevitable."
