What Moscow Proposed to Washington

During negotiations held in Istanbul between Russia and the USA, Washington was offered the opportunity to restore direct air service between the two countries. This was announced by the Russian Foreign Ministry.

"It is necessary to create conditions to further improve bilateral relations for the benefit of our countries' peoples. Specifically, the American side has been invited to consider the possibility of restoring direct air communication," the statement on the department's website reads.

Additionally, the parties have agreed on their future actions to ensure the financing of diplomatic activities between Russia and the USA, and to create conditions for the fulfillment of diplomats' duties.
