I Apologize for Not Meeting the Expectations of Some: Nazeli Baghdasaryan

Nazeli Baghdasaryan, the spokesperson for Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, took to Facebook to address criticism, advising those leaking information to media outlets to at least specify the real extent of damage rather than exaggerating it twentyfold.

“I apologize for not meeting the expectations of some. I apologize for not accumulating wealth like those affiliated with the previous regime, and no significant harm has been done,” she wrote.

“I am indeed ‘guilty’ in this regard. Tell that self-proclaimed mayor that in the next and all subsequent cases where my name is mentioned, let him also have the courage to clarify how many properties he is implicated in criminal cases, and how many buildings, structures, and assets are connected to him and his close associates through the illegal seizure of property,” she continued.

“Moreover, he was so helpless that, after 2018, while serving as a parliament member, unlike me, he was receiving compensation for housing rent from the National Assembly. (Journalists can inquire with the National Assembly),” she added. “And yet, they accuse others of becoming wealthy with state funds…”
