Zelensky Won't Sign Agreement Without Security Guarantees: The Economist
Edita
Vladimir Zelensky will not sign the second economic agreement with the United States if it does not include security guarantees for Ukraine, as reported by The Economist.
Ukraine intends to sign an agreement with the U.S. regarding the joint extraction of mineral resources. The agreement includes the intent of both parties to establish a joint investment fund for Ukraine. It is expected that 50 percent of the revenues generated from state resource projects will be transferred to Kyiv's fund.
The publication writes, “Zelensky is not going to sign any second, more comprehensive agreement that does not include broader security guarantees.”
