First, We Must Divorce One, Then Marry Another: Mamikonyan

The leader of the 'Honorary' faction in the National Assembly, Hayk Mamikonyan, stated at a meeting of the EU-Armenia Parliamentary Partnership Committee that his political force has signed the comprehensive and enhanced partnership agreement and that diligent work has been carried out in this direction.

“We are proud of the EU-Armenia relations, which are currently governed by an agreement that we have signed,” he said. “We are not starting the dating phase today; we are already married. I will be the first to point out that there is an elephant in the room. We are a member of the EAEU, and our economy is significantly dependent on it. Whether that is good or bad is another question. But you are approaching a person who is already married. We must first divorce one before we can marry another,” Mamikonyan added.
