Reconstruction Works of the Cascade Complex to Be Implemented

The Yerevan Municipality will sign a contract with the winning participant, granting them the opportunity to carry out the reconstruction works of the "Cascade" complex based on construction rights. As a result, the complex will acquire a complete appearance, ensuring connectivity between the newly created section and both the Cafesjian Museum and the 'Victory' monument marking the 50th anniversary.

This was reported during an operational meeting of the Yerevan Municipality chaired by Mayor Tigran Avinyan.

The new section will encompass 33,000 square meters of built-up area, housing a concert hall designed for 1,000 people, designated spaces for workshops, as well as recreational areas. Additionally, the area will include an underground parking facility and green spaces.

Upon completion of the project, the entire area will be transferred to the Yerevan community as property.

It should be noted that the Yerevan Municipality has prioritized the "Cultural Cascade" concept by French architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte for the final appearance of the Cascade architectural complex. The "New Cascade" project is expected to be completed within five years from the start of construction.
