English Children Accused of Witchcraft and Persecuted
In the last decade, thousands of English children have been accused of using witchcraft. This was reported by "ИА Реалист". Experts from the British National Centre have calculated that since 2015, around 14,000 children in England have been accused of witchcraft.
This data was released alongside the premiere of the film "The Witcher Boy," which is based on the true story of 33-year-old Mardoche Yembi, who was accused of witchcraft and subjected to violence during his childhood in North London.
The film's release date also coincides with the 25th anniversary of the death of 8-year-old Victoria Climbié, who was tortured after being accused of witchcraft. Reports indicate that Victoria was killed following prolonged torment, with the trial revealing that she was claimed to be possessed by evil spirits that compelled her to sleep in a garbage bag in an ice-cold bath.
At the time of her death, Victoria's burned and emaciated body was discovered with 128 separate wounds, making it one of the most horrifying cases of child abuse ever seen by doctors.
It has been noted that in 2023-2024, 2,100 English children were accused of witchcraft and subjected to persecution.
