Countries Unable to Reach Agreement Due to US Position, Says Canadian Foreign Minister

The G7 countries are currently unable to reach an agreement on a joint statement regarding Ukraine due to the position of the United States. This was stated by Canadian Foreign Minister Mélanie Joly.

“We are still in negotiations, Canada and other countries do not agree with the position that the US has defended at the UN, specifically regarding the resolution they put forward,” she noted.

According to the minister, she does not recall an instance in the last three years where the G7 has coordinated so intensively on such a document.
