The Conflict Between Armenia and Azerbaijan Has Deepened: Ohanyan

The conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan has not only not ended but has deepened. Seyran Ohanyan, the head of the ‘Armenia’ faction in the National Assembly, stated this during a conversation with reporters at the ‘Yerablur’ military pantheon.

‘Azerbaijan, under the guise of anti-terrorist operations, has completely ethnically cleansed Artsakh. Today, this criminal state is putting on trial the self-determined, legitimately elected leadership of the Republic of Artsakh and our combat companions in Baku,’ Ohanyan said, emphasizing that the Armenian authorities have not taken any steps in this direction. Instead, extremely wrong decisions are being made or discussed, such as the withdrawal of international claims against Azerbaijan.

He believes that the authorities of the Republic of Artsakh and all institutions should continue to operate, work on both the status of the Artsakh people and the collective preservation, as well as on returning to Artsakh in the future. Ohanyan also agrees with the position of Armenia's second president Robert Kocharyan, that the dissolution of the OSCE Minsk Group is a wrong decision in such situations.
