Aghazaryan on Kocharian's Press Conference: There Were Thoughts I Agree With

Former MP from the ruling Civil Contract party, Hovik Aghazaryan, followed the press conference of Armenia's second president, Robert Kocharian, and admitted that there were thoughts he agrees with.

"I watched the press conference of one of the former leaders of the Republic of Armenia, Robert Kocharian. There were thoughts I agree with. There were thoughts I do not agree with. There were thoughts that were blurred. I was particularly struck by the observation that what is happening in Baku is not a trial against the military-political leadership of Artsakh, but against Armenia. I agree with that. In the history of the Armenian people, I do not know of another such disgraceful and humiliating case.

Regardless of my negative attitude towards almost all of the military-political leadership of Artsakh, the situation created is the shame of the entire Armenian people. Let us set aside the issue of assessing the degree of responsibility of the authorities. I can confidently say that both Robert Kocharian and Serzh Sargsyan, if they had the desire, could have prevented the course of events like those. The question of 'Why didn’t they do it?' requires an answer,” Aghazaryan wrote on Facebook.
