Otherwise, There Could Be a Third World War: Trump

Russia holds a winning card in negotiations related to Ukraine, as it controls significant territories. This statement was made by U.S. President Donald Trump during a conversation with journalists.

“I think the Russians want to end the war. I truly believe that. But they have a winning card because they have seized a lot of territory, so they have the upper hand,” he said.

Trump expressed his belief that the Ukrainian conflict could be resolved within a year; otherwise, it could lead to a Third World War. The U.S. leader also noted that authorities would revive a deal regarding rare metals with Ukraine. According to him, the Ukrainian authorities acted “harshly” with U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Benta when he was in Kyiv.

Earlier, Trump mentioned that the U.S. has provided Ukraine with $200 billion more in aid than Europe, but there has been no mechanism developed for refunding that amount. The U.S. leader wants to receive rare metals from Kyiv in exchange for the invested money.
