Snow and Blizzard Expected: Weather in Armenia

On February 19, in the Republic of Armenia, snow is expected in several regions during the day, and significant snowfall is anticipated from February 20-23 in much of the country. From February 20-21, heavy snowfall is expected in certain areas, along with blizzards and low horizontal visibility in mountainous regions. This information is provided by the Hydro-Meteorological Monitoring Center.

The wind will be southeastern, with speeds of 2-5 m/s, and an increase in wind intensity is expected on February 19, reaching 20-25 m/s, and on February 20-21, speeds of 15-18 m/s.

The air temperature will gradually decrease by 10-14 degrees both at night and during the day from February 20-22. In Yerevan, after noon on February 19, snow is expected from February 20-23, with heavy snowfall anticipated on February 20-21. The temperature in the capital will be 10-12 degrees during the day on February 19, dropping to +1...+3 degrees in the evening hours.

It is noted that black ice is expected on almost all roads throughout the republic.
