You Will Soon Feel the Battle Between Cold and Warm Air Currents: Azizyan

Don’t be deceived by today’s rise in air temperature (up to +12 degrees in Yerevan); starting from the evening of February 19 and for the next three days, you will experience a battle between powerful cold air currents invading from the northwest and warm air currents penetrating from the southwest in our republic. This was stated by Levon Azizyan, the director of the Hydro-Meteorological and Monitoring Center, on his Facebook page.

As previously reported, on the evening of February 19, snowfall is expected across the republic from February 20-23, with very heavy snow in some areas and in Yerevan on the 20th-21st, as well as blizzard conditions and low visibility in mountainous regions. Icy patches are also anticipated on the country’s roads.
