When Will Sanctions Against Lavrov Be Lifted

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced on Tuesday that the question of lifting sanctions against Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov was not raised during recent talks between U.S. and Russian delegations in Riyadh. However, both sides need to discuss "many topics" in the future, reports RIA Novosti.

"We are not at that level of discussions yet, but of course, many topics need to be addressed in the future. That process has not even begun; today we only reached an agreement to start dialogue," he told reporters.

Previously, the State Department confirmed that the normalization of diplomatic missions and further steps for resolving the conflict in Ukraine were discussed during the negotiations.
