What Pashinyan and Macron Discussed

The meeting between the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, and the President of France, Emmanuel Macron, took place at the Élysée Palace. This was reported by the Armenian Government.

The French President welcomed the Armenian Prime Minister's visit and expressed gratitude for accepting the invitation to participate in the upcoming Artificial Intelligence Summit in Paris. He emphasized the ongoing development of multi-sectoral cooperation between Armenia and France and reaffirmed France's support for ensuring Armenia's development and stability.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan thanked Macron for the warm hospitality, highlighting that the year 2024 has been particularly dynamic for Armenia-France relations. He noted that there have been numerous meetings between the leaders and departments of the two countries, regular contacts have been maintained, and today, the relations between Armenia and France have reached a new level.

During the meeting, the leaders of Armenia and France discussed several issues related to the development of bilateral cooperation, including prospects for joint projects in the economy, infrastructure, road construction, energy, education, tourism, and other sectors.

The peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan, ongoing developments related to demarcation, as well as the unblocking of regional communication routes within the framework of the “Peace Crossroad” project were also addressed. Nikol Pashinyan emphasized the Armenian Government's commitment to the peace agenda.

Several other regionally significant issues were discussed as well. The parties exchanged ideas on the further development of Armenia-EU cooperation, as well as the ongoing promotion of the democratic reforms agenda in our country.
