Netanyahu Calls Emergency Consultation
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has convened an emergency consultation with intelligence leaders regarding the Palestinian Hamas movement's refusal to comply with the ceasefire agreement terms in the Gaza Strip, Israeli Channel 12 reported on Monday, citing informed sources.
“The Prime Minister is conducting an emergency consultation with the heads of intelligence services,” the report stated.
Earlier today, the spokesperson for Hamas’s military wing, Abu Obeida, announced that the group had decided to postpone the release of hostages that was scheduled for Saturday, “due to Israel's failure to adhere to the agreement.” Among the Israeli violations cited by Obeida were delays in the evacuation of displaced persons in northern Gaza and issues related to humanitarian aid deliveries to the Palestinian enclave.
